Not How I Remembered It

This was my go-to coffee for years. Dark, bold, and smoky unlike anything I could find elsewhere. Especially now that everyone is drinking the light, bright "Third Wave" stuff. Well, I wandered from my path and found a great local roaster who'd developed a dark roast that was phenomenal. A couple of years later, the roast profile changed and never returned to original, even after I mentioned it several times to the owner. Well, I tried DL Italian Roast again this month and it's just not as alluring as I'd remembered it to be. Great coffee, but different somehow!
